Microsoft Costs on the Rise: Office 365 Pricing to Increase on Commercial Products

Microsoft 365 Price Increase Coming Soon 2022

Microsoft is set to increase pricing on their Office 365 products. Commercial use of MS 365 licenses will come at a higher premium in the new year. Intrust managed service clients will continue to have predictable monthly costs.

Microsoft recently announced that its Office 365 pricing will increase on March 1, 2022. This will be the first Microsoft 365 pricing increase since the product launched 10 years ago in 2011. Microsoft is not the only company to increase pricing: IT costs on the whole have been on the rise. With hardware shortages and the overall demand for cybersecurity becoming more frequent, companies are making every effort to keep their networks up to date while maintaining productivity.

Microsoft has also announced that a premium of 20 percent will be charged on all MS 365 products unless customers make the decision to be billed annually. As a managed service provider, Intrust purchases licenses for programs like Microsoft 365 for their client base and rolls the pricing into a fixed monthly fee. Because of that, there is no premium for choosing month to month billing if your licenses are purchased through Intrust.

As fee changes like this happen, overall pricing will be adjusted, but you will still be at a set, predictable monthly fee from Intrust and can cancel any service at any time with 30 days notice. We do not require annual or long-term contracts. Learn about our commitment to no long-term contracts.
